Why Ski Morse?
"The statements below are exerpts from emails we received from our
new and old skier friends and acquaintances last spring after our first
season as a ski touring center."
- Burr Morse

Dear Burr,

• LOVE your ski center, trails are wonderful, good combination of hills,
corners, and straights. Can't wait to come back next year!

• I really liked the community atmosphere of the center, but I have to
admit that more than once I probably swished by somebody - several of us remarked that if we talked to everyone we knew on the trails we'd never get any skiing done! Great job...

• Can't think of anything to make it better - the best skiing I've done in years! Can't wait for next year!

• Your ski center is great!! It's so nice to have a place close by. The trails are designed very well. I like the one way direction and you had some excellent "banking" on some of the steeper downhill turns. The only improvement I can suggest you are already taking care of and that is to make it bigger!! I like to ski all day so I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the extra 10k. Thanks so much for creating this ski center. I took advantage of it several times this year and look forward to doing so again next year!!

• Thanks for a great year. My wife and I have a pass, and I was mostly up after work for a quick hour or so of skiing. I love the trails, and I skied them in all conditions...

• I haven't yet attempted X-country skiing on your wonderful trails, but I moseyed through there on my snowshoes, and found that trail also a very good experience, well laid-out with busier sections crossing the ski trails, and more tranquil sections through the woods. I will be back next season. Congratulations on a job well done...

• Although I told you in person early in the season how much we like the ski center, I want to reiterate that it is a wonderful addition to an already terrific community asset - the Morse Farm. While the chilly temperatures kept me indoors more than usual, my hours spent on the ski trails at Morse Farm were among the most pleasant of the winter. I even made a new friend skiing with another woman who was also skiing alone one quiet morning...

• As I watch the snow melt, I look forward to next year's ski season, although we do hope for a little milder winter. Living in Montpelier it was convenient for us to get out for a quick or a long ski. The trails were beautifully groomed, service excellent in ORS ski room and upstairs, and the hot food just what we needed to warm us up on those zero and below days. The moonlight ski will remain an experience I won't forget...

• Great season, I was so glad to ski there this winter; I am a road warrior sales rep and after a long day or days running the roads in New England it is nice to stop by for a short ski, on my way back to Burlington...

• Laurie and I were only able to make it up to your place once this season. We only did a half-day but let me tell you, your trails are fantastic. We have never skied at an area that had such wide, well groomed trails. In the three hours we were there, I thing we hit every trail. The "Most Difficult" were a blast. If you could add a few more k's to those we would sure appreciate it. We also saw the first robin of spring in an apple tree by the pond where Skimmer Loop joins Sugar Loop...

• Linda and I really enjoyed the few times we skied your trails. They are varied and, in some places, challenging. We had hoped to get there more often...

• We enjoyed skating through your farm and sugarbush immensely this winter, and look forward to more next season. You, John Morton, and Onion River Sports have created a great place!

• I don't have a lot in the way of suggestions, but I would like to say thank you for all your work on a project that has added immensely to our community. I say this as a ski fanatic, but also knowing that a broad spectrum of people came and skied the trails...
